Italian release postponed for The Boy, the horror film directed by William Brent Bell (Stay Alive, Wer - The Metamorphosis of Evil) and played by Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead). Indeed, it seems that The Boy, the film about the evil porcelain doll and to be distributed in Italy by Eagle Pictures, will see the light of day in Italian theaters starting from May 12 2016 and no longer from February 25 next year.
In the film Lauren Cohan plays Greta, a babysitter who travels to an English family to nanny their eight-year-old boy. Once there, the young woman discovers to her horror that the little one she is to care for is none other than a life-size porcelain doll that the couple treats as if it were a child. In order to avoid problems with their "child," the English couple asks Greta to abide by a set of rules.
The screenplay of The Boy Is edited by Stacey Menear. The cast includes Lauren Cohan, Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, Ben Robson, Rupert Evans, James Russell and Javier Botet.
