The list of evil doll movies continues to grow, and so, after Annabelle, the sequel Annabelle 2 recently announced and Robert, it's time for The Boy (USA - 2016), in precedenza conosciuto come The Inhabitant. It's Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie in the television series about the living dead. In The Boy la Cohan è Greta, una giovane donna che accetta un lavoro come tata presso una famiglia inglese. Giunta nella dimora, scopre che il bambino di 8 anni a cui dovrà badare non è altro che una bambola di porcellana a grandezza naturale e che i coniugi trattano come se fosse il proprio figlio. The screenplay of The Boy is directed by Stacey Menear. In addition to Lauren Cohan, the cast includes Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, Ben Robson, Rupert Evans, James Russell, and Javier Botet.
The film's release date is set for January 22, 2016, thanks to STX Entertainment.
