Three years after the first news che vedeva Jordan Peele (Scappa – Get Out, Noi) come produttore del reboot dell'horror The Black House (The People Under The Stairs), we are back in the news for the selection of Ezra Claytan Daniels (Doom Patrol, Night Sky) as the film's screenwriter.
The feature film, which brings back to screens the story written and directed by Wes Craven in 1991, will be produced by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions through its deal with Universal.
The film is currently in development.
Starring Brandon Quintin Adams, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, A.J. Langer, Jeremy Roberts, and Ving Rhames, The Black House by Wes Craven is a dark fairy tale in which there is a strong social satire.
La storia vede protagonisti tre ladri (Adams, Rhames e Roberts) che si intrufolano nell'abitazione dei ricchi Robeson (McGill e Robie). Fra loro c'è Grullo, un ragazzino che ha bisogno di soldi per l’operazione della madre e Leroy, un ladruncolo convinto che la famiglia presa di mira sia in possesso di una meravigliosa collezione di monete. Una volta all’interno della casa però, gli intrusi si ritroveranno di fronte ad una realtà agghiacciante che li costringerà a lottare per la propria vita.
