Earlier today, Netflix released, online, the official Italian trailer and poster for the The appearance of things (aka Things Heard & Seen), the horror film starring Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer's Body, Little Red Riding Hood).
Written and directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, the film is the film adaptation of Elizabeth Brundage's novel of the same name and will arrive on Netflix's streaming platform on April 29.
The appearance of things is the story of a young woman who, together with her husband and daughter, leaves Manhattan to move to a country house. The place, however, hides terrible and disturbing secrets.
The cast, in addition to Amanda Seyfried, also includes James Norton (Flatliners - Deadly Line), Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Karen Allen (Starman), Rhea Seehorn, Alex Neustaedter, and F. Murray Abraham (The 13 Spectres).
Plot: Catherine Clare (Amanda Seyfried) reluctantly leaves Manhattan to live in a house located in the village of Chosen, New York, after her husband George gets a job teaching art history at a small university in the Hudson Valley. Catherine will do her best to adapt to the new lifestyle, but when paranormal phenomena begin to occur, the young mother decides to investigate the house's past. The discovery of the truth, however, will expose her to greater and more troubling dangers.
