Skyline Entertainment has released the official trailer for The Amityville Murders, the prequel to The Amityville Horror (1979) by Stuart Rosenberg. The film is written and directed by Daniel Farrands, the screenwriter of Halloween 6 - The Curse of Michael Myers and de The girl next door as well as producer of The Messenger and Amityville: The Awakening.
The release date of The Amityville Murders has been set for February 8, 2019 (VOD and US theaters).
Inspired by the alleged events that took place in the 1970s at the house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Long Island, United States, the story of The Amityville Murders sheds light on the events leading up to the massacre carried out by young Ronald DeFeo, who exterminated his entire family (parents and four siblings) by gunfire on the night of the distant Nov. 13, 1974.
De Feo justified his act by blaming it on the voices of spirits that haunted his home and guided him to carry out the massacre.
In the role of Butch DeFeo we find John Robinson (Alcoholic) while the other family members are played by Chelsea Ricketts (The Hole), Paul Ben-Victor (Daredevil), Diane Franklin (Amityville Possession), Noa Brenner, Zane Austin and Kue Lawrence (The Crossbreed).
They are also joined by Rebekah Graf, Lainie Kazan, Burt Young, Sky Liam Patterson and Steve Trzaska.
