Starring Sarah Grey (iZombie - TV series) and Mena Suvari (American Beauty), The Accursed will arrive in U.S. theaters and on VOD platforms on Oct. 14.
The film is inspired by Rosemary's Baby, The Omen (The Omen) and The Changeling, capolavori del cinema degli anni '70.
Trama: dopo il suicidio della madre, Elly (Sarah Grey) accetta l’offerta di lavoro dell'amica Alma (Mena Suvari) come badante temporanea della comatosa signora Ambrose (Meg Foster) che vive in una baita isolata. Qui però la giovane inizierà ad avere strane allucinazioni che pian piano prenderanno il sopravvento ma non prima di convincerla che la donna allettata sia posseduta dallo spirito della madre defunta.
In the cast there are also Alexis Knapp (Grace - Possessed), Meg Foster (They Live), Sarah Dumont (Scout's Handbook for the Zombie Apocalypse) and Sherman Augustus (Virus).
