Online the new posters and trailers of The Accursed (2022), the demonic possession horror written by Rob Kennedy (Midnight Man) and directed by Kevin Lewis (Willy's Wonderland).
Starring Sarah Grey (iZombie - TV series) and Mena Suvari (American Beauty), The Accursed will arrive in U.S. theaters and on VOD platforms on Oct. 14.
The film is inspired by Rosemary's Baby, The Omen (The Omen) and The Changeling, masterpieces of 1970s cinema.
Plot: After her mother's suicide, Elly (Sarah Grey) accepts a job offer from her friend Alma (Mena Suvari) as a temporary caregiver for the comatose Mrs. Ambrose (Meg Foster) who lives in an isolated cabin. Here, however, the young woman will begin to have strange hallucinations that slowly take over but not before convincing her that the bedridden woman is possessed by the spirit of her deceased mother.
In the cast there are also Alexis Knapp (Grace - Possessed), Meg Foster (They Live), Sarah Dumont (Scout's Handbook for the Zombie Apocalypse) and Sherman Augustus (Virus).
The Accursed is produced by Marcus Englefield and George Lee for Storyoscopic Films.
The film crew includes David Newbert, Ryan Liebert and Emoi, cinematographer, editor and composer of Willy's Wonderland, respectively.
