leporiKicking off April 16, 2014, is a crowdfunding campaign to support Mixed Blood, an independent horror feature film conceived by Davide Scovazzo. Mixed Blood consists of eight episodes each of which is directed by a different director. The theme that unites the numerous works is blood, understood as ethnicity, as an ethnic community embedded in Italy with its own customs, traditions, culture and religion. The eight directors have therefore chosen as locations as many Italian cities and certain ethnic groups to which they have obviously combined the horror component.

Interesting and challenging project of which it is impossible not to be fascinated by watching the first teaser trailer available online. Merit certainly goes to the skill of the filmmakers and also to the "blood," the common thread of the eight episodes that not only unites the various stories with the different ethnicities in one project but also gives it that touch of pleasant bleakness and a taste for the macabre that doesn't hurt.

This promising horror anthology includes some very important names in the independent horror scene, directors who have left their mark on Italian cinema through their works.

Also among them is Davide Scovazzo (During Death) with "Strictly Bled by the Living"- Genoa and the Arabs. Also directing will be Raffaele Picchio (Morituris) with "Perkushtim" - Rome and the Albanians; Ricky Caruso (Naftalina) with "Villa Ada"- Catania and the Mamorians; and Edo Tagliavini (Bloodline) with "Cuore rivelatore" - Ravenna and the Indians; Paolo Del Fiol ("Kokeshi" in Connections) with "Mochi"- Milan and the Japanese; Raffaele Pastrello (Miracolo veneto) with "Sagra matanza" - Treviso and the Colombians; Lorenzo Lepori (Il Vangelo Secondo Taddeo) with "Gu" - Livorno and the Chinese; Isabella Noseda with "Grandma's Remedy" - Turin and the Nigerians.

Those who would like to contribute to this glorious project can fund it through the official crowdfunding page on Indiegogo.
