After directing American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice (2017), Italian performer, actress and director Poison Rouge directs, in collaboration with Domiziano Cristopharo (Doll Syndrome, Nightmare Symphony), Tetromaniac: 61 - Scorecard Killer (2021), an extreme horror film loosely based on the murders of American Randy Steven Kraft.
TetroManiac: 61 - Scorecard Killer is the new film TETROMANIAC (after eROTik and Confessions of a necrophiliac), an extreme series conceived by TetroVideo and dedicated to the vicious serial killers who have occupied the darkest areas of the crime news.
Known as the "Scorecard Killer," the 1945-born killer to whom this film is dedicated is currently on death row on charges of torturing, raping and killing 16 young boys/men between 1972 and 1983 and is suspected of being responsible for the deaths of 51 other victims, also male.
The man became known as the "Scorecard Killer" because upon his arrest investigators found a coded list with cryptic references and an envelope containing more than 50 photographs of his victims, dead or sleeping, in pornographic positions.
From the story of this murky character, Poison Rouge and Domiziano Cristopharo offer audiences a chilling fictionalized version of his bestiality and modus operandi, shining the spotlight on a single murder case in which the killer, played by an excellent Roberto Scorza, vents his most torturous and unhealthy fantasies on a young victim.
Like a magnifying glass pointed at pain, TetroManiac: 61 - Scorecard Killer is, thanks to the well-known filmmaking duo, a concentration of almost unbearable humiliation and torture perpetrated inside a car. This, the only location other than the street, becomes the victim's grave, an asphyxiating place (for the viewer as well) in which, with sadism, Randy Kraft will dispose of the body of the unfortunate victim.
SPOILER START.: "Indeed, beatings will be followed by unimaginable torture (especially in the private parts) with the use of simple common objects that are no less dangerous: a car cigarette lighter, a broken pencil, a napkin, the lid of a can." END SPOILER..
All used by Randy Kraft with meticulous, unprecedented madness, made all the more disconcerting by sharp close-ups that capture an almost tangible horror while carefully crafted photography highlights the precision of the details.
In TetroManiac: 61 - Scorecard Killer, the victim's delusions and the perpetrator's flashbacks outline the psychological background of the two protagonists, defining fragile profiles trapped in a dimension locked in deep psychophysical suffering.
This is undoubtedly a film well anchored in extreme cinema, a subgenre into which the two filmmakers coldly and skillfully drag a portion of truth and death from the past.
The film will be distributed this month by TetroVideo.
