Following Extreme Jukebox (2013) e Terror Take Away (2018), films distributed in Italy and abroad, Genoese director Alberto Bogo returns to direct a new horror film titled Terror Zone (2022).
Set during the lockdown, Terror Zone è un horror antologico che si ispira alla cinematografia degli anni ’80 e ’90 ed è composto da 5 episodi che raccontano i lati più oscuri dell'essere umano, qui portati ai livelli più estremi dalla pandemia.
Contaminated with the surreal humor that distinguishes Alberto Bogo's previous works, the 5 segments range from thriller to grotesque to dramatic for a unique project.
Terror Zone will arrive in theaters in major Italian cities and on demand in June 2022.
Five cinematographers (Massimo Acquaviva, Lucio Basadonne, Brace Beltempo, Daniele Ciampi, Davide Colombino) are involved in the project, and the cast includes the well-known Antonella Salvucci (The Torturer, Nightmare Symphony) along with Lazzaro Calcagno, Pietro Giunti, Barbara Alesse, Andrea Benfante, Anna Giarrocco, Alessia Sala, Selene Feltrin, and Niky Argento.
La sceneggiatura è a cura di Alberto Bogo e Andrea Lionetti. Quest'ultimo compare nella produzione del film insieme a Luca Malgara e Alessandro Sbabo.
The soundtrack, on the other hand, is very dark n' roll thanks to the collaboration with the record label Black Widow Records while the FX specials are by Ilaria Solari.
SYNOPSIS: During a "clandestine" radio program, Uncle Shear, an ambiguous-looking speaker and sinister, chronicles the increasingly darker sides of a humanity brought to the brink by the pandemic.
