Let's go back to talking about Terminator - Dark Destiny about the new poster featuring the two main characters (Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton) and new details about the return of the T-800.
In an interview with Total Film, talking about the cyborg T-800 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator - Dark Destiny moreover, Tim Miller revealed that this is a different Terminator, an iconic character but completely different from the one seen in the other films in the franchise.
Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), Terminator: Dark Destiny marks the return of Linda Hamilton (again as Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The cast also includes Edward Furlong (American History X, Stoic), the actor who played John Connor in Terminator 2 - Judgment Day (1991).
Terminator: Dark Destiny is in fact the direct sequel to Terminator 2 - Judgment Day and ignores the later chapters because, according to Tim Miller's interview with Total Film, "The last film was not very good. Let's say there were some...mistakes. As a fan, I definitely don't want a repeat of a similar mistake. I wish the franchise had a noble future again.“.
Terminator: Dark Destiny (aka Terminator: Dark Fate) is the sixth installment in the sci-fi saga and will arrive in Italian theaters on Oct. 31, 2019, one day earlier than the U.S. release.
In addition to the above actors, the cast includes Gabriel Luna, Mackenzie Davis, Brett Azar, Diego Boneta, Natalia Reyes, Steven Cree, Rochelle Neil, James Barriscale, and Fraser James.
The script for the film was written by Josh Friedman in collaboration with David S. Goyer, Billy Ray and Justin Rhodes while James Cameron, the creator of the franchise, appears on the crew as a producer.
