Last March, Artsploitation Films acquired distribution rights in the US/Canada of anthology horror Phobia (review here). The film will be distributed under the title A Taste of Phobia and will be available on DVD on June 26 along with German Angst (Blu-ray), another ensemble horror film consisting of three episodes directed respectively by Jörg Buttgereit (Nekromantik films, Nekromantik 2, Der Todesking), Andreas Marschall (Masks, Tears of Kali) and Michal Kosakowski (Zero Killed).
A Taste of Phobia involves 16 international directors who, in their episodes, have dealt with and developed unusual phobias in an original way. This ensemble horror film tackles some of the most unusual psychopathological manifestations such as Coprophobia (fear of feces), Mageirocophobia (fear of cooking), Hemophobia (fear of blood), and many others.
A Taste of Phobia is produced by Tony Newton's "Vestra Pictures" in collaboration with Domiziano Cristopharo's "The Enchanted Architect" and Sam Mason Bell's "Trash Arts."
