Last December we told you about Tales of Halloween (USA - 2015), the horror anthology whose trailer is finally available today. Tales of Halloween consists of ten terrifying episodes whose storyline has as a common thread witch's night. On October 31, an American suburb will be populated by goblins, witches, murderers, ghouls and aliens who will terrorize the residents.
Tales of Halloween will have its world premiere this month at the Fantasia International Film Festival. The U.S. release date is set for Oct. 16 thanks to Epic Pictures.
As many as unidici directors are involved in the project including several well-known names in genre cinema. Lucky McKee (May, The Woman), Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent), Adam Gierasch (Autopsy, Night of the Demons), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III, IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera), Axelle Carolyn (The Halloween Kid, Soulmate), Mike Mendez (The Convent, The Gravedancers), Dave Parker (The Bloody Hills, The Dead Hate the Living), Ryan Schifrin (Abominable), Paul Solet (Grace), Andrew Kasch (Thirsty, The Fall) and John Skipp (Stay at Home Dad). The latter two will direct one of the shorts together.
In addition to the worthy group of directors, the anthology film about Halloween night also boasts a respectable cast: Lin Shaye (The Alien, 2001 Maniacs, Insidious,), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond, We are still here), Barry Bostwick (The Rocky Horror Picture Show), James Duval (Donnie Darko), Pollyana McIntosh (The Woman), Kristina Klebe (Halloween), Marc Senter (The Devil's Carnival), Noah Segan (Looper), Pat Healy (The Innkeepers, Cheap Thrills), Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), Alex Essoe (Starry Eyes), Jose Pablo Cantillo (The Walking Dead), Greg Grunberg (The Man Without a Shadow), Grace Phipps (Dark Summer) and Sam Witwer (Being Human).
In a cameo instead are Joe Dante, Stuart Gordon, John Landis, Mick Garris, Adrienne Barbeau and Adam Green.
