Vera Farmiga's sister, Taissa Farmiga, will be part of the cast of The Nun, the second spin-off of the saga The Conjuring. The young actress, previously seen in The Final Girls and American Horror Story, will play a nun.
The new chapter of the Warner Bros. Pictures, currently in pre-production, features Corin Hardy, the director of the horror film The Hallow (2015).
The filming of The Nun will be launched this summer in Romania while the release has been set for July 13, 2018.
The screenplay for the film is by Gary Dauberman and James Wan. The latter is also its producer along with Peter Safran.
Recall that the two chapters of the franchise about the Warren demonologists (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are directed by James Wan: The Conjuring - The Conjuring (2013) e The Conjuring - The Enfield Case (2016).
Annabelle: Creation instead, the prequel to Annabelle (the first spin-off of the saga), will debut in theaters on August 11, 2017.
