While promoting his new film A Bigger Splash, Luca Guadagnino (Melissa P.), the director who will direct the remake of Suspiria, has unveiled the names of those who will be some of the leads in its remake namely Tilda Swinton (Constantine, Only Lovers Survive) and Dakota Johnson (50 Shades of Grey). The two actresses will thus return to acting together again after A Bigger Splash, a film that premiered in the last edition of the Venice Film Festival.
Luca Guadagnino avrebbe riconfermato che il remake del capolavoro argentiano sarà ambientato nella Berlino degli anni '70 e sarà fortemente influenzato dal cinema del regista, sceneggiatore e attore tedesco R.W. Fassbinder (Lola, Querelle de Brest). Per quanto riguarda il plot, Guadagnino dichiara che sarà fedele a quello originale. Inoltre spera in una nuova collaborazione con John Adams, il compositore americano che in passato ha realizzato per lui la colonna sonora di "Io sono l'amore" con Tilda Swinton.
