Earlier today, Amazon Studios revealed the teaser trailer for Suspiria (Italia - 2018), il remake dell'omonimo film di Dario Argento. Presentato come un vero e proprio omaggio al capolavoro argentiano piuttosto che un rifacimento, Suspiria è diretto da Luca Guadagnino (Melissa P., Bigger Splash) ed esordirà negli USA il 2 novembre. Il film sarà presentato in anteprima alla Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia che si terrà dal 29 agosto all'8 settembre 2018.
Plot: Aspiring American ballerina Susie Bannion (Dakota Johnson) moves to Berlin to join the prestigious Markos Tanz Company. Soon after her arrival, however, one of the girls in the dance company mysteriously disappears. Susie befriends Sara who, like her, suspects that the principal and the entire school harbor a disturbing secret.
The screenplay for Suspiria is by David Kajganich. The cast includes Dakota Johnson (50 Shades of Grey), Chloe Moretz (Blood Story, The Look of Satan - Carrie), Tilda Swinton (Constantine, Only Lovers Survive), Renée Soutendijk, Sylvie Testud, Angela Winkler, Mia Goth, Ingrid Caven, Vanda Capriolo, Malgorzata Bela, and Lutz Ebersdorf. Also in a cameo, as Anke, will be Jessica Harper (1977's Suspiria).
