It's back to talking about the horror franchise Subspecies on the release of the teaser trailer of Subspecies: Bloodrise (2022), the fifth chapter.
Conceived and written in the 1990s by Charles Band of Full Moon Pictures, this saga features the vampire Radu Vladislas (played by Anders Hove). All chapters, including the new project, feature American Ted Nicolau ((Terror Vision - Visions of Terror, Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys) in the directing booth.
The filming of Subspecies: Bloodrise have just concluded in Serbia, and the release date has been set for 2023.
Plot: seized by crusaders on the night of his birth, he does not know his lineage (his mother is a demon while his father is a vampire) and has been trained and exploited by a brotherhood of monks to kill all enemies of the Church. However, fate brings him back to his father's castle, armed with Laertes' monster-killing sword, to destroy the vampire Vladislas and claim a holy relic: the bloodstone.
The events of that night will turn the noble Radu into a vampire without a master, setting him on a quest to find the one who relegated him to darkness and the relic he hopes will give him peace.
Anders Hove returns in the iconic role of Radu. He is joined by Denice Duff, Kevin Spirtas, Staša Nikolić, Marko Filipović, Petar Arsić, Yulia Graut, Olivera Peruničić and Jakov Marjanović.
Justin Martell, Seager Dixon, Matt Manjourides, Miloš Đukelić and Vladimir Đukelić are the producers of the film while Charles Band is the executive producer.
