Stung: the official trailer for the film about killer wasps

StungThe eco vengeance genre continues to thicken with titles about killer animals, and while last month we told you about Unnatural, a film about polar bears, today it is the turn of Stung (Germany, USA - 2015) and giant killer wasps. Stung premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last month, and the U.S. release date is scheduled for July 3, for both theatrical and VOD, thanks to IFC Midnight.

stung_posterIt is directed by Benni Diez, while the screenplay was handled by Adam Aresty. In addition to Jessica Cook and Matt O'Leary, the cast includes Lance Henriksen, Clifton Collins Jr, David Masterson, Cecilia Pillado, and Kathleen Renish.

Julia (Jessica Cook) and Paul (Matt O'Leary) are two catering waiters who reach a mansion whose owner has decided to throw a garden party. Unfortunately, during the evening the guests will be bothered by wasps. Their stings will initiate strange metamorphoses while the appearance of giant, aggressive wasps will cause panic among the guests.
