REBUILDING HUMANITY – When was the film and television production dedicated to the necklace first announced? The Black Tower, many fans of Stephen King They literally burst with joy. Well, it seems that we will be hearing a lot about the famous horror writer during this period! CBS Films, the company that holds the exploitation rights for the novel The Shadow Of The Scorpion (The Stand), has just signed an agreement with the Warner Bros. to create a new franchise dedicated to the novel itself, and that's not all! It seems that, at present, the two companies are deciding whether to transform The Shadow Of The Scorpion in a traditional feature film or a series of films! Those who have read and enjoyed the very long novel (the uncut version is over 1,100 pages long) will probably remember that, in 1994, a decent six-hour television miniseries was made (The Shadow Of The Scorpion by Mick Garris, with Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald and Jamey Sheridan). The new The Shadow Of The Scorpion will be completely different, much more faithful to the original novel and, since it is intended for cinema, of superior quality. Catering to those who, on the other hand, have not had the luck or the time to read the work of King, We will try (although it is no easy task) to summarize the plot of the book as much as possible. Due to a fearsome, out-of-control biological weapon known as Project Blue or Captain Trips, humanity is almost wiped out in a matter of days. The few survivors are all summoned in their dreams by Abagail Freemantle, a 108-year-old black woman who is trying to rebuild society in Boulder, Colorado. Meanwhile, however, another group of survivors is led by the mysterious and powerful Randall Flagg, “the walking man”, a character driven by plans far darker than those of Abagail.
The Shadow Of The Scorpion will become a film series.
