Midnight Factory was responsible for the distribution of Starry Eyes (USA - 2014), the enchanting body horror written and directed by Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer (Identical Dead Sisters). The film will be available on DVD and Blu-ray limited edition with booklet from July 12 along with other horror films such as The Tunnel of Horror - The Funhouse (with Midnight Classics) and Russian horror film The Bride.
Protagonist of the story of Starry Eyes is Sarah Walker (Alex Essoe), a young waitress who aspires to become a famous Hollywood actress. Determined to make her dream come true, the girl goes to numerous casting calls hoping for a lucky break. After several disappointments, finally, a mysterious agency contacts her to assign her the lead role in a film. Once involved in the project, however, the aspiring actress will undergo disturbing pisco-physical changes that will disrupt her forever.
The cast includes Alex Essoe, Amanda Fuller, Noah Segan, Pat Healy, Fabianne Therese, Nick Simmons, Natalie Castillo, Shane Coffey, Danny Minnick, and Denis Bolotski. The film is produced by Travis Stevens while Adam Bricker and Jonathan Snipes handled cinematography and music, respectively.
