Thanks to 01 Distribution, Spiral: Saw's Legacy (aka Spiral: From the Book of Saw) will arrive in Italian theaters on June 16, 2021.
Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV), Spiral: Saw's Legacy is the new chapter in the horror saga Saw and stars Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight) and Chris Rock.
Plot: Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash detective Zeke Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner William Schenk (Max Minghella) investigate murders that have brought the city's horrific past to the surface.
Unwittingly ensnared in an ever-deepening mystery, Detective Zeke will find himself caught up in the sick and complicated game of the killer who years earlier sowed terror and death in the city.
In the cast of Spiral: Saw's Legacy, in addition to the above actors, also include Max Minghella (The Black Hour, Horns), Marisol Nichols (Scream 2), Dan Petronijevic, Zoie Palmer, Nazneen Contractor, K.C. Collins and Edie Inksetter.
The screenplay is by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Jigsaw) while Mark Burg and Oren Koules are the film's producers.
In addition to being part of the cast, Chris Rock also appears in the project as an executive producer along with Daniel Heffner and the creators of the franchise themselves namely James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
