New information has been released on Song of Solomon, the third chapter of the saga American Guinea Pig whose filming began this month in Florida (link to news story). As mentioned a few days ago, it will be directed by Biro himself, who already directed the first chapter American Guinea Pig: Bouquet of Guts and Gore.
Song of Solomon is an extreme gore film about exorcism and, according to Stephen Biro himself, will be outside the standards of filmography belonging to this subgenre. With Song of Solomon in fact it will go further, respecting the extreme style of the saga of which the film is a part.
Non mancheranno nemmeno tantissimi effetti speciali truculenti rigorosamente realizzati da Marcus Koch insieme a Jerami Cruise. Ricordiamo che Koch è l'effettista e il regista del secondo capitolo American Guinea Pig: Bloodshock and also worked on special effects for films such as We are Still Here and Frankenstein Created Bikers. Jerami Cruise, on the other hand, has worked on FX effects for films such as August Underground: Mordem, August Underground: Penance and Murder Set Pieces.
In Song of Solomon, Jim Van Bebber (The Manson Family, Homewrecked) è uno dei preti mentre l'attrice e regista canadese Jessica Cameron (An Ending, Mania, Save Yourself) è l'antagonista Mary, la ragazza posseduta. Nel cast, oltre ai due attori ci sono anche Andy Winton e Gene Palubicki (già visti in AGP: Bloodshock), Scott Gabbey (AGP: Bouquet of Guts and Gore), Maureen Allisse (The Manson Family, Roadkill), Josh Townsend, David McMahon e lo stesso Stephen Biro.
Chris Hilleke (A Horrible Way to Die, ABC's of Death), on the other hand, is the director of photography.
Trama: dopo aver assistito al brutale suicidio del padre, Mary (Jessica Cameron) diventa il bersaglio di forze demoniache. Mentre la Chiesa cerca di salvare un'anima innocente dalla devastante possessione demoniaca, carestia, siccità e caos indicano che la fine del mondo è vicina. La venuta di Cristo è ancora lontana perché, prima di lui, l'Anticristo dovrà regnare sulla terra per sette anni consecutivi. Questa è la vera natura del cantico di Salomone: dare al mondo ciò che sta aspettando da tempo ovvero il Male.
