According to reports from Deadline, Lindsey Beer will write and direct, for Paramount, Sleepy Hollow, the new film adaptation of the short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow By Washington Irving.
Lindsey Beer will also produce the film along with Todd Garner and Spencer Walken of Broken Road Productions.
Currently, no plot details have been revealed.
Irving's tale has already been transposed for the big screen by Tim Burton in 1999 with The Mystery of Sleepy Hollow, a highly successful fantasy horror film starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci and Christopher Walken (the latter as the Hessian knight).
As a reminder, Lindsey Beer is currently filming the prequel to Pet Sematary, a film marking his directorial debut.
