Slasher.com by Chip Gubera (Song of the Dead, Mil Mascaras vs. the Aztec Mummy and Academy of Doom) è vincitore del premio “Best Screenplay” al The Optical Theatre Film Festival 2016. Secondo quanto titolo e poster suggeriscono, il film si presenta come uno slasher in qualche modo collegato al mondo virtuale. La storia, sulla scia dei più classici film di questo sottogenere, presenta un groviglio di situazioni volutamente prevedibili, oscurate poi da soluzioni originali e spiazzanti che rendono positivamente "diverso" il film di Gubera.
This is the strength of Slasher.com which is a full-bodied, complex, and creative script (edited by Chelsea Andes and Chip Gubera) that 
ricorda vagamente i capisaldi del passato (Non aprite quella porta, American Gothic...) e punta sui cliché del genere per poi incanalarsi in un allettante e sorprendente percorso personale fitto di spunti molto interessanti atti a sorprendere lo spettatore. L'atmosfera così ricreata, densa di fascino, apre la strada a un particolare contesto intinto nella follia e da cui si scateneranno violenza e morte.
Plot: After meeting each other online, Jack (Ben Kaplan) and Kristy (Morgan Carter) finally decide to meet in person. Their destination is an isolated cabin owned by Mr. and Mrs. Myers (Mihailoff and Shepard) where the lovers plan to spend a romantic weekend surrounded by nature. Despite the strange behavior of the two owners, the two young people will attempt to enjoy the much-dreamed-of weekend...
In Slasher.com, the danger lies in the relationships established in both the real and virtual worlds. Chip Gubera's film thus represents the fulcrum in which these converge to initiate a series of very risky situations. The result is a suspenseful film precisely because of the constant and multifaceted presence of danger.
Also making it very engaging is the good performance of lead actors Ben Kaplan and Morgan Carter as well as that of R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface in "Don't Open That Door - Part 3" by Jeff Burr) but especially Jewel Shepard (Casey in "Return of the living dead”). Quest'ultima, in particolare, interpreta alla perfezione un personaggio sensuale e ambiguo (alla Mother Firefly, per intenderci) che rimane ben impresso.
Also successful are the special effects by Cassie Brooks.
Chip Gubera is also a producer along with Debbie Kaplan, Ben Kaplan, Brian Mauer and Adam Boster.
