With Lionsgate, the red band trailer and poster for the horror action/western comes online. Sisu (Finland - 2023), the new film written and directed by Jalmari Helander, the director of Exceptional Transportation - A Christmas Story (Rare Exports).
The film will arrive in U.S. theaters on April 28.
In Sisu, Jalmari Helander returns to team up with Jorma Tommila, the protagonist of Rare Exports, for an epic, hyperviolent adventure through the wilderness of Lapland in northern Finland.
Plot: During the final days of World War II, Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila), a lonely gold prospector who has lost everything, even his family to the conflict, crosses paths with retreating Nazis who steal his precious metal, thus unleashing his wrath. Indeed, the former soldier will stop at nothing to get his gold back, even if it means killing every single Nazi he encounters in his path.
In the cast of Sisu, besides Jorma Tommila, there are also Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo and Onni Tommila.
