Netflix has released, online, the official trailer for Sister Death (aka Hermana Muerte), the prequel to Veronica, a Spanish horror film directed by Paco Plaza (Crimes of the Full Moon, REC) in 2018 and inspired by the true events of the 1991 Vallecas case in which EstefanÃa Gutiérrez Lázaro died mysteriously after using a ouija board.
Written by Jorge Guerricaechevarria, Sister Death features Paco Plaza himself in the directing booth and will arrive on Netflix on October 27, 2023.
The story in this new chapter sheds light on Sister Death, a character played by Consuelo Trujillo in Veronica.
Plot: In postwar Spain, Narcisa (Aria Bedmar), a novice with supernatural powers, arrives at an old convent used as a girls' school to become a teacher. As the days pass, strange events and increasingly disturbing situations will begin to haunt her, leading her to unveil the horrible secrets about the convent.
