SICK: Survive The Night - Ready for release of new zombie movie

sick2U.S. release date set for DVD format for SICK: Survive The Night, the Canadian zombie movie directed by Ryan M. Andrews (Black Eve, Save Yourself) and will see the light of day on January 6, 2015. The screenplay is by the director himself along with Chris Cull, while the names of Bruno Marino and Michael Jari Davidson appear in the film's production.

Two years after the start and spread of an infection that turns people into the living dead, the human race is on the brink of extinction. Dr. Leigh Rozetta is a scientist who during the years of the epidemic has lived segregated in an underground government facility in order to find a cure for the disease. After several unsuccessful attempts, she decides to return to her parents to make sure they are all right and to reunite with them. On the way she crosses paths with Seph and Mckay, two young men who have just escaped an attack by the infected, with whom she continues her journey. The three manage to reach and take refuge in the doctor's family home before darkness falls. Here, terrified, they hope to make it through the night. Meanwhile, zombies begin to encircle the house.

The plot is vaguely reminiscent of George A. Romero's filmography from which it seems to draw some details, especially from Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Zombies.
