Sherlock Holmes vs. Frankenstein: crowdfunding closed.

sherlock1Sherlock Holmes, the world's greatest detective, meets one of the most important and legendary classic horror figures, Frankestein, in the film Sherlock Holmes vs. Frankenstein (France, Great Britain - 2012). Directing this film, which presents itself as a sophisticated gothic horror film, is Gautier Cazenave (House of VHS), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Stephen Marians.

In Cazenave's film, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson reach the village of Darmstadt in Germany to investigate a strange and mysterious case that has been terrorizing the locals for far too long. Indeed, it appears that someone is digging up corpses and then appropriating certain body parts. Sherlock Holmes and the doctor will try to unmask the culprit and, as the investigation continues, their suspicions will fall on Victor Frankenstein.

sherlock-posterThe cast includes the icon of the British production company Hammer, namely Shane Briant (Red Roses for the Devil, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell, Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter). He is joined by Clement von Franckenstein, Eric Godon (In Bruges, The Expatriate), John Lebar (Prometheus), Angèle Vivier, Nicolas Robin, Stephanie Campion, Dario Costa, and Ben Syder.

A crowdfunding campaign was launched for the film, which ended successfully last June 25. Below is the teaser of Sherlock Holmes vs. Frankenstein:
