Warner Bros. has released a new TV spot for. Shark - Il primo squalo (aka The Meg), the shark movie starring Jason Statham, here as a rescue expert. Directed by John Turteltaub on a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, Shark - The First Shark (USA - 2018) will debut in Italian theaters on August 9, 2018.
An ocean submersible is attacked and damaged by a giant sea creature. Now the vessel lies on the bottom of the Pacific with its crew trapped inside. Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham), a scuba diver and water rescue expert, is recruited by a Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao) to rescue the crew from the megalodon, a sizeable shark species that, until then, was thought to be extinct. Jonas will risk his own life to save the crew from the same predator with which he had clashed years earlier and of which he still retains sad memories.
In addition to Jason Statham, the cast also includes Ruby Rose, Li Bingbing, Cliff Curtis (Fear the Walking Dead), Rainn Wilson (House of 1000 Bodies, The Boy), Winston Chao, Robert Taylor, Page Kennedy, Jessica McNamee,Sophia Shuya Cai, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Masi Oka, and Winston Chao.
Shark - The First Shark is the film adaptation of the novel "MEG" written by Steve Alten in 1997.
