Severe (aka Raw) è il titolo del primo lungometraggio francese scritto e diretto da Julia Ducournau. Trattasi di una co-produzione franco-belga che abbraccia diversi generi (commedia, dramma e horror) e che vede come protagonista un'ex vegetariana.

Under the title Raw, Severe è uno dei sette lungometraggi in concorso per il "Nespresso Grand Prize" alla 55esima edizione della "Settimana della Critica" (la sezione parallela alla selezione ufficiale del Festival di Cannes). Plot: Justine (Garance Marillier) is a 16-year-old girl whose family is composed of veterinarians as well as vegetarians. However, the girl will overturn the principles of her relatives when, from her first day in veterinary school, she eats meat. This choice will lead her to reveal her true nature.
The cast includes Garance Marillier, Rabah Naït Oufella, Ella Rumpf, Joana Preiss, Laurent Lucas, Marion Vernoux, Bouli Lanners, and Jean-Louis Sbille. The film is produced Jean des Forêts for Petit Film.
