The schedule of movies at the cinema in September includes the theatrical release of the long-awaited Slender Man and Revenge (both will debut in theaters on Sept. 6). The release date of The Nun - The Calling of Evil instead is set for September 20 while The Domestics Will be released in theaters on the 27th.

Slender Man (USA - 2018), the horror film based on the well-known meme Creepypasta (created by Eric Knudsen) spread via the Internet, will be released in theaters in our country on September 6 by Warner Bros Italy. Written by David Birke and Mike Scannell, the film is directed by Sylvain White.
Plot: A faceless monster, a frightening creature with a slender, longish build, is responsible for the disappearances of children and teenagers. Four high school students will investigate mysterious disappearances that have occurred in a small Massachusetts town. The girls will perform a ritual to dispel the legend of "Slender Man," but one of them will also vanish without a trace.
In the cast of Slender Man there are Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Jaz Sinclair, Annalise Basso, Talitha Bateman (Annabelle: Creation), Alex Fitzalan and Javier Botet as Slender Man.
The film is produced by Mythology Entertainment in collaboration with Madhouse Entertainment and It Is No Dream Entertainment.

The September 6 will also make its theatrical debut (distributed by Koch Media). Revenge (USA - 2017), the first rape&revenge directed by a woman. In fact, it is directed by French director Coralie Fargeat who also handled the screenplay. Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz (The Ring 3) plays Jen, a girl revered and then abused by a group of men.
Plot: Jen is the mistress of Richard, a successful, married man who takes her along for a weekend of sex and relaxation in a luxurious villa in the middle of the desert. Stan and Dimitri, two of Richard's friends, show up at their place for the hunting trip they had planned. The evening passes beautifully but the next day Stan, in his friend's absence, abuses Jen while Dimitri does nothing to prevent it. The girl informs her lover of the incident hoping to be helped but the latter will not react as she hoped.
With Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz, Kevin Janssens, Vincent Colombe, and Guillaume Bouchède.

The Nun - The Calling of Evil (USA - 2018) will be released in Italian cinemas on September 20 by Warner Bros Italia. The Nun is the spin-off of The Conjuring - The Enfield Case (2016) and focuses on the nun-like demon already seen in this second chapter (sequel to The Conjuring - The Conjuring).
The Nun - The Calling of Evil is directed by Corin Hardy (The Hallow) on a screenplay by Gary Dauberman (It) and James Wan (the creator of the saga).
Plot: Romania, 1952. At the request of the Vatican, young nun Irene (Taissa Farmiga) and Father Burke (Demian Bichir) reach an abbey to investigate the mysterious suicide of a cloistered nun. The place, however, is influenced by a hellish nun (Bonnie Aarons).
In the cast: Taissa Farmiga (The Final Girls, American Horror Story), Demian Bichir, Ingrid Bisu, Charlotte Hope and Jonas Bloquet. The diabolical nun is played again by Bonnie Aarons.

The Domestics (USA - 2017) will make its theatrical debut on Sept. 27 distributed by Eagle Pictures. Written and directed by Mike P. Nelson (Summer School), The Domestics is a post-apocalyptic horror thriller that flows into the action genre and is inspired by Mad Max. The film stars Kate Bosworth (Somnia) and Tyler Hoechlin (Solstice).
Plot: tribes and murderous gangs rule a broken and desolate world. Mark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Nina West (Kate Bosworth) are a couple in crisis who, together, struggle to survive. The two will desperately seek shelter to get to safety, away from the criminals who invade the streets, but they too will have to fight to stay alive.
In the cast of The Domestics also include Lance Reddick (John Wick), Sonoya Mizuno, David Dastmalchian, Jeff Chase, Dana Gourrier, Laura Cayouette, Brad Leland, Dave Davis, and Lance E. Nichols. Wenonah Wilms also contributed to the film's screenplay.
