For the month of September, two horror films have been scheduled in Italian theaters: Sinister 2 (from Sept. 3) by Ciaran Foy and the highly anticipated cannibal movie The Green Inferno (starting Sept. 24) by Eli Roth but it is not ruled out that a few more titles may be added later in the month.
Sinister 2 is the sequel to the film written and directed by Scott Derrickson in 2012 and starring Ethan Hawke. Directing the sequel is Ciaran Foy (Darklight Hotel and Citadel) while the screenplay for the film is by C. Robert Cargill.
The cast includes Shannyn Sossamon, Dartanian and Robert Daniel Sloan, Tate Ellington, Lea Coco, Jaden Klein, Laila Haley, Olivia Rainey, and Nicholas King again as Bughuul.
Abstract: The story of Sinister 2 ties in with the events of the first chapter. A woman (Shannyn Sossamon) moves to a farm with her twin 9-year-old sons (Dartanian and Robert Daniel Sloan) to escape an abusive husband. The place, however, hides a dark past that will not be slow to resurface. Having found home movies, the twins will come into contact with the spirits of the children caught on film and thus also awakening Bughuul, a malevolent pagan entity...
