Selma Blair has joined the cast of The Great Illusion, il thriller horror (attualmente in pre-produzione) che segna l'esordio alla regia di Maria Gabriela Cardenas, la quale ha co-scritto la sceneggiatura del film insieme al padre Oscar Cardenas. Quest'ultimo inoltre compare nel film anche in veste di attore.
In The Great Illusion, il protagonista è un tormentato agente dell'FBI che ha paura dell'oscurità . In particolare, la sua fobia si manifesterà durante le indagini su una misteriosa ex prostituta al fine di catturare un vizioso serial killer.
L'attrice statunitense Selma Blair ha recitato in film come "Cruel Intentions - Prima regola non innamorarsi", "Hellboy", "The Fog - Nebbia assassina", "In Their Skin" e nel recente "Mom and Dad" (2017). Graham Greene invece è noto per i suoi ruoli in "Balla coi lupi", "Die Hard - Duri a morire" e "Il miglio verde".
The cast also includes Glenn Morshower, Tokala Black Elk, Jaime Gallagher, Jon Lindstrom, Trisha Rae Stahl, Rebekah Kennedy, Bella Shaw, Rob Evors, Beverly Todd, Monte Markham, and Kenzie Dalton.
Amy Williams appears in the production of the film.
The filming of The Great Illusion will begin next month in Los Angeles.
