Among the Official Selection of the second edition of the The Optical Theatre Festival there is also The Call (aka The Appel), the French short film (17 min.) in the crime/fantasy/drama genre selected for the "Best Short Film" category. In charge of the screenplay and direction of The Call (France - 2015) is debutant Alban Ravassard.
The Call is a reflection on couples and love told through the story of an obsession, a strong relationship experienced in a deleterious way.
The film has been screened in many festivals racking up awards: Best Director (Paris Art & Movie Awards), Best Short / Best Actor (Christian Benedetti) / Best Special Effects (Independant Horror Movie Awards), Best Actor / Best Actress / Best Director / Best Cinematography / Best Soundtrack (Fright Night Film Fest), to name a few.
Plot: Police officer Benoît (Christian Benedetti) is a man wounded by the disappearance of his wife Lise (Paméla Ravassard). Years later, unable to overcome his grief, he witnesses the decline of his mind and body when she mysteriously reappears.

François Liétout handled the film's soundtrack while Raul Fernandez is the director of photography.
