Legend of Dark Rider: The Beginning è un'altra selezione ufficiale del The Optical Theatre Festival 2016. This is a Swedish fantasy-horror short film (about 20 minutes long) written and directed by Titus Paar. The film was shot in a Viking village in Sweden during a snowstorm and has been presented as a cross between The Iron Throne, Hellraiser, Quentin Tarantino, and John Carpenter.
Director Titus Paar took a full eight years to write and realize the world of Dark Rider, which blends the most classic Fantasy with the ferocity of Black Metal. The short film will also be followed by the long one whose release date is set for 2018.
Trama: in una locanda sperduta sita in un villaggio innevato della Svezia, alcuni guerrieri parlano della leggenda del Dark Rider, una creatura disumana (Stefan Cronwall) a cui nessuno è riuscito a sopravvivere. Tra di loro c'è Vlademir (Ralf Beck), un uomo che sostiene di aver visto realmente il mostro.
Il film è vincitore del Best Picture e del Best Director all'Hollywood international Film Festival 2016 e di altri award.
