The horror short film Kitchen (France - 2016) is Official Selection at the The Optical Theatre Festival 2016. Kitchen received the following nominations: "Best Short Film," "Best Cinematography," and "Best Music." Directing and writing the screenplay for this elegant ghost movie is Frenchman Steve Duchesne, here struggling with his first film.
Plot: In a huge house lost who knows where, Jason (David Atrakchi) finds an old cookbook hidden in the attic. The man uses it to prepare dinner for his wife Marie, but from then on the two will witness terrible events.
In the cast: Sophie Meister, David Atrakchi and Alexandra Lepoix.
Olivier Lamy's name appears in the film's production. Philippe Piffeteau and Jean-Philippe Ichard are the director of photography and composer, respectively. Special effects are by David Scherer (Thanatomorphose, The Call).
