Screamboat: David Howard Thornton is a mouse in Steven LaMorte's horror film

Indiewire has released the red band trailer for Screamboat, the horror film inspired by Steamboat Willie (1928), the third animated short film in the Mickey Mouse series.
Steamboat Willie was the first short film in the series to be released and is considered the public debut of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

From the producers of Terrifier 2 and Terrifier 3, Screamboat is written and directed by Steven LaMorte (The Mean One) and will be released in U.S. theaters on April 2, 2025 from Iconic Events Releasing.
The film stars David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown in the "Terrifier" movies) who plays the mouse.

Plot: A ride aboard a ferry to New York turns into a hilarious nightmare when a mischievous mouse named Steamboat Willie (David Howard Thornton) becomes a monstrous reality wreaking havoc among the passengers.

The cast of Screamboat includes Allison Pittel (Stream), Amy Schumacher (The Mean One), Jesse Posey (Selena), Jesse Kove (Cobra Kai), Kailey Hyman (Terrifier 2), Rumi C Jean-Louis (Hightown), Jarlath Conroy (Day of the Dead) and Charles Edwin Powell (The Exorcist III).
Christian Beckman's Quantum Creation FX, Inc. (The Last Voyage of the Demeter) created the creature from the designs of concept artist Christian Cordella (Spider-Man: No Way Home).
