La storia di questo sesto capitolo si svolge a New York e vede protagonisti i sopravvissuti agli omicidi di Ghostface ovvero le sorelle Sam (Melissa Barrera) e Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) insieme ai gemelli Chad (Mason Gooding) e Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown).
The four boys leave Woodsboro behind to start a new life in the U.S. city but will again be plagued by a series of murders at the hands of a killer wearing the mask of Ghostface.
