In Montreal, the filming of Scream 6, the new chapter in the famous horror/slasher saga conceived and started by Wes Craven in 1996.
James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are again involved in the project along with Radio Silence (Till Death Do Us Part), respectively the writers and directors of Scream (2021).
The release of Scream 6 Is scheduled for March 31, 2023.
Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Courteney Cox will return to the cast. Neve Campbell, on the other hand, the actress known for her starring role as Sidney Prescott in the film saga Scream, apparently abandoned the project just these days.
The recent Scream (U.S.-2022) debuted in theaters last January, gaining favorable reception from audiences and critics and, most importantly, a good box office performance (the film grossed more than $62 million in the United States and about $106 million worldwide).
Part of Scream 6 Will be set in New York City. Below are the first photos from the set showing vehicles with NY license plates:
