Scare Package is the title of the horror anthology that will see the light of day next summer. The first trailer showcases the high rate of gore and splatter present in the film but also a sparkling touch of humor.
Created by Aaron B. Koontz (Camera Obscura) and Cameron Burns, Scare Package is an anthology film composed of seven chilling segments that come to life inside a video store (frame episode).
The episodes are directed by seven different directors, who are united here to pay homage to cult films of the past by overturning the topoi of the horror genre. In particular, Scare Package comes across as a manifesto of love for the 1980s.
The directors involved are:
- Emily Hagins - segment "Cold Open“;
- Baron Vaughn - segment "So Much To Do“;
- Noah Segan - segment "M.I.S.T.E.R.“;
- Chris McInroy - segment "One Time In The Woods“;
- Anthony Cousins - segment "The Night He Came Back Again! Part IV: The Final Kill“;
- Hillary & Courtney Andujar - segment "Girls' Night Out Of Body“;
- Aaron B. Koontz - segment "Rad Chad's Horror Emporium, Horror Hypothesis.“.
The cast instead includes Noah Segan, Chase Williamson, Baron Vaughn, Jocelyn DeBoer, Jeremy King, Dustin Rhodes, Toni Trucks, Zoe Graham, John Bloom, Byron Brown , Chelsey Grant, Luxy Banner, Josephine McAdam, Aaron D. Alexander, Allan McLeod, Melanie Minichino, and many, many others.
Aaron B. Koontz is the producer, screenwriter and director of Camera Obscura as well as the executive producer of Starry Eyes.
