Lionsgate has announced the new release date of Saw X, the tenth installment featuring Tobin Bell again as Jigsaw/John Kramer, the iconic character from the horror saga Saw conceived by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw VI, Saw 3D - The Final Chapter, Jackals - The Jackal Cult), Saw X will debut in U.S. theaters on September 29, rather than October 27, 2023.
In addition to the release date, two official images of the film have also been released (top and bottom photos).
La storia si incastra tra gli eventi del primo e del secondo capitolo del franchise e vede protagonista John (Tobin Bell), un uomo ormai malato e disperato, che decide di raggiungere il Messico per sottoporsi a un rischioso intervento sperimentale, nella speranza di trovare una cura miracolosa per il suo cancro. John però rimarrà deluso quando scoprirà che l'intera operazione è una truffa ai danni dei soggetti deboli. In the cast of Saw X: Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z) and Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman), Michael Beach (Dahmer).
Instead, the screenplay is by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, the screenwriters of Jigsaw and Spiral.
The new Saw was announced by Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures last August after Spiral - Saw's Legacy, the reboot directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV) and starring Chris Rock in 2021.
