With a message on Twitter, screenwriter Josh Stolberg announced the end of filming of Saw (2022), the new chapter featuring U.S. actor Tobin Bell again as Jigsaw / John Kramer, the iconic character from the horror saga Saw conceived by James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Directing this tenth installment is Kevin Greutert (Jackals - The Jackal Cult), who previously directed Saw VI and Saw 3D - The Final Chapter.
The plot has not yet been revealed but the studio is convinced that the Saw 10 will know how to win the hearts of fans of the saga, thanks in part to additional twisted and ingenious traps, as well as a new mystery to solve.
The US release date has been set for October 27, 2023.
The new Saw was announced by Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures last August after Spiral - Saw's Legacy, the reboot directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV) and starring Chris Rock in 2021.
