In a recent interview given to BloodyDisgusting, Sam Raimi expressed his desire to make another installment of the famous horror franchise started with Evil Dead (1981) annunciando di essere al lavoro sul nuovo film di cui molto probabilmente si avranno le prime notizie entro i prossimi sei mesi. Inoltre il regista e sceneggiatore statunitense ha aggiunto che nel progetto sono coinvolti anche Bruce Campbell e Rob Tapert, rispettivamente l'attore protagonista (Ash Williams) e il produttore della trilogia originale (per la regia di Sam Raimi) così composta:
- Evil Dead (The Evil Dead, 1981);
- House 2 (Evil Dead II, 1987);
- L'armata delle tenebre (Army of Darkness, 1992).
It is not yet clear whether this will be a sequel, a remake or a reboot. In the meantime, let us recall that in 2013 Fede Álvarez directed. Evil Dead, il remake del cult del 1981 mentre il 2014 è l'anno di Ash vs Evil Dead, the U.S. television series (unfortunately cancelled a year ago) created by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi and Tom Spezialy and part of the saga of Evil Dead.
