Epic Pictures Group has released the official trailer for Sacrifice, the Lovecraftian horror starring the iconic Barbara Crampton, the U.S. actress known for her roles in horror films Re-Animator, Supermarket Horror and From Beyond - Terror from the unknown and which recently produced the new Castle Freak.
Sacrifice is written and directed by Andy Collier and Toor Mia, the directors of Charismata, and will debut in US theaters on February 5, 2021. The video-on-demand date, on the other hand, has been set for Feb. 9, while the Blu-ray edition will be available starting Feb. 23 (U.S. market).
Plot: After the death of his mother, Isaac (Ludovic Hughes) returns to his hometown on a remote Norwegian island to claim an unexpected inheritance. Joining him is Emma (Sophie Stevens), his expectant wife. Once there, the couple will be shaken by heavy, dark secrets resurfaced from Isaac's past. Moreover, the pleasant trip will quickly turn into a nightmare when the two young people encounter the sinister cult of a sea deity.
In addition to Barbara Crampton, the cast includes Ludovic Hughes, Sophie Stevens, Dag Sorlie, Erik Lundin, Johanna Adde Dahl, Jack Kristiansen, and Lukas Loughran.
