Lucky Red has released the first Italian trailer for the The Sacred Deer Sacrifice (aka The Killing of a Sacred Deer), the dark thriller/drama genre film by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (The Lobster). Abstract: Steven (Colin Farrell) is a well-known cardiothoracic surgeon and lives a happy and fulfilling life with his wife Anna (Nicole Kidman) and their two children, Kim (Raffey Cassidy) and Bob (Sunny Suljic). One day the doctor befriends Martin (Barry Keoghan), a lonely 16-year-old boy who has recently lost his father. Steven decides to take care of him and introduces him to the family as well. Shortly afterward, however, increasingly disturbing events begin to occur that shatter the family peace and force the surgeon to make a terrible sacrifice in order to avoid the risk of losing everything.
Nel cast, oltre a Colin Farrell (Fright Night - Il vampiro della porta accanto) e Nicole Kidman (The Others), ci sono anche Barry Keoghan, Raffey Cassidy, Sunny Suljic, Bill Camp, Alicia Silverstone, Barry G. Bernson, Denise Dal Vera e Barry Keoghan.
The screenplay for the film was written by Yorgos Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou.
The Sacred Deer Sacrifice is the winner of the Best Screenplay award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
