Rutger-HauerVAN HAUER - Straight from Berlin, news has just arrived that will make fans of Dario Argento! As you well know, the historic Italian director of such films as. Inferno, Deep Red and Suspiria will soon return to handle the camera in Dracula 3D, yet another adaptation of the novel by Bram Stoker which, unlike the book, will take place in the present day. After months of chatter and rumor, it finally seems that the production company Film Export Group by Roberto Di Girolamo has officially cast the first actor for the cast-and what an actor! From theEFM 2011 (European Film Market, a festival held in Berlin as is traditional) has just been announced: Rutger Hauer has been hired to lend the face of Professor Abraham Van Helsing, Dracula's archrival! All that remains now is to await the completion of the cast of Dracula 3D to find out who will play the role of the most famous vampire in the history of film and literature.

DRACULA 3D
- As already anticipated, Dracula 3D will take place in the present day and not in the 1800s as in the novel by Stoker. Written by. Antonio Tentori, the project has been described as a film "full of blood and gore," but in which the psychology and drama of the story will also be of great importance. Filming, which according to some unconfirmed rumors will begin on May 16, will take place in Budapest and then move to Italy (rumors mention the castle of Balsorano in Abruzzo) and, as the title obviously suggests, will take place in stereoscopy. Despite the fact that director, production and screenwriter might lead one to think otherwise, Dracula 3D will be a film shot in English and intended for theatrical release worldwide (distribution company permitting).
