Russian horror The Bride (aka Невеста and Nevesta) will be distributed in Italy thanks to Midnight Factory. Written and directed by Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy (Vladenie 18 and Pikovaya dama. Chyornyy obryad), this macabre film about postmortem photographs will be available on DVD and Blu-ray limited edition (with booklet) from the July 12.
Plot: Nastya (Viktoriya Agalakova) joins her beloved Ivan and his family to plan the wedding together with relatives. Nastya's family is very attached to the traditions and customs of 19th-century imperial Russia but, for love, the girl is willing to undergo a mysterious Slavic wedding ceremony. The ritual, however, will trigger a series of ominous consequences.
The cast of The Bride (Russia - 2017) consists of Viktoriya Agalakova, Vyacheslav Chepurchenko, Aleksandra Rebenok, Igor Khripunov, Valeriya Dmitrieva, Vladimir Seleznyov, Miroslava Karpovich, Vera Biryukova and Marina Alhamdan.
