The trailer and poster for Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L'Apocalisse! are now online. The 30-minute horror short is directed by Domenico Montixi (L'isola dei resuscitati morti) and features an original soundtrack by Fulci, the Italian death metal band named after the Godfather of Gore, legendary filmmaker Lucio Fulci.
Described by the band as a "Spaghetti Zombie Western", Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L'Apocalisse! grew out of a shared passion for Lucio Fulci's cinema and reinterprets Italian genre movies of the 1970s and '80s, drawing inspiration from City of the Living Dead and Four of the Apocalypse. With this project, Fulci expand their musical universe into cinema, bringing music and images together.
Released by 20 Buck Spin under the same title as the short film, the original soundtrack consists of three tracks: "Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L'Apocalisse!", "Paura che Uccide" and "Apoteosi del Mistero", a cover of Fabio Frizzi's track featured in City of the Living Dead.
Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L'Apocalisse! has been selected for the 31st edition of the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival, taking place from October 2 to 4 at the Hollywood Theatre PDX in Portland, Oregon, where the short will continue its run on the international festival circuit.
