Last April we devoted an article (here the link) to Domiziano Cristopharo's new project. It is a film inspired by the famous Shakespearean play and whose working title, Macbeth, gave way to the final one i.e. Rimisherim.
Filming of the film has already begun about ten days ago in Kosovo. Meanwhile, we publish a preview of the first three available images.
In Rimisherim non saranno trascurate le cupe atmosfere tipiche del "Macbeth" letterario, amalgamate a quelle visionarie in stile anni '80 della cinematografia post-apocalittica italiana. Non mancano altresì rimandi e omaggi alla letteratura di Howard Phillips Lovecraft, tanto cara al regista romano.
Il "Macbeth" di Domiziano Cristopharo sarà un film post guerra che, etichettato come "gitano", ci mostrerà piccole tribù metropolitane fronteggiarsi per conquistare il potere.
Rimisherim sees Cristopharo collaborating again with the Filmon Aggujaro production company (Bloody Sin) but also Halil Budakova, Merita Budakova and Edi Lushi, three of the actors in the cast of Virus: Extreme Contamination (tra l'altro selezione ufficiale 2016 al Bram Stoker International Film Festival di Londra).
The screenplay is by Antonio Tentori, former author of the above-mentioned film.
The production of Rimisherim is joined by HH Kosova while the cast includes Tahiraj Leonard in addition to the above actors.
