Ispirato all'omonima opera incompiuta di Jean-Jacques Rousseau, il pluripremiato Fantasies of a streetwalker solitaire by Paolo Gaudio is a fantasy film with horror veins, shot partly with real actors and partly with the stop-motion animation technique (the animated puppets are made of plasticine).

Protagonists of Fantasies of a streetwalker solitaire sono tre personaggi appartenenti ad epoche diverse. Siamo nel 1876 e Jean Jacques Renou è uno scrittore povero e vecchio che vive in uno squallido seminterrato. L'uomo inizia a scrivere "Fantasticherie di un passeggiatore solitario", un romanzo di formazione che è altresì un ricettario fantastico.
Theo invece è un giovane laureando in filosofia dei nostri tempi, appassionato di libri incompiuti, fra cui quello di Renou. Rapito dal romanzo, il ragazzo decide di voler realizzare la "Fantasticheria n° 23", l’ultima ricetta scritta dal poeta e che conduce in un luogo straordinario noto con il nome Vacuitas.
The third story, on the other hand, is about a child lost in a timeless forest. It is about the main character in the book that writer Renou is writing and Theo is reading.
The cast includes Alessia Alciati, Angélique Cavallari, Domiziano Cristopharo, Nicoletta Cefaly, Luca Lionello, Fabiano Lioi, Lorenzo Monaco, Fabrizio Ferracane and Selene Rosiello.
