In the first anthology film, Volumes of Blood, the stories had as their centerpiece a public library. In Horror Stories Instead, it is the floors of a house that hold seven terrifying tales.
The distribution date of Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, currently in pre-production, is set for Halloween. The film is produced by P.J. Starks and Eric Huskisson (The Confession of Fred Krueger) and Christopher Bower (The Dooms Chapel Horror).
Tra i primi nomi confermati del cast c'è quello di Moses Moseley (“The Walking Dead”). Rocky Gray e Shane Prather (Lavalantula, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens) si occuperanno della colonna sonora.
Trama: prima di concludere l’affare, due coniugi, guidati da un raccapricciante agente immobiliare, fanno un ultimo tour all’interno della casa (composta da sette piani) che stanno per acquistare. Ogni piano svelerà un passato terrificante: un negozio degli anni '80 viene ristrutturato ma ci saranno delle conseguenze; nella notte di Halloween un ragazzo, rimasto solo in casa, avrà a che fare con un pericoloso sconosciuto; un venditore porta a porta fa una chiamata per il ringraziamento ma il suo gesto avrà delle ripercussioni inquietanti; Andrew e Sara sono una coppia di sposi a cui non sarà concesso di passare un po’ di tempo insieme; uno spirito vendicativo trasformerà la vigilia del Natale in un inferno; alcuni ospiti inattesi rovineranno una festa di compleanno.
